The deep crank bite for staging fish has been a hit for the bigs this week! The Cass group has put together a solid bag with Bladis deep cranking points and islands  

Bill and RJ off to a solid first day with Sixto fishing shakeyhead… Sixto probably has boated more fish over 10lbs than anyone in the history of Baccarac Things are looking good for him to add to his tally!

Bladis is on a hell of a run, again guiding his clients to a 45lb bag with an 11.2lb kicker on Sunday on cranks and swimbaits.

We had a few days off with the Thanksgiving holiday, and now back to business.

The small fish have moved up with the bigger fish staging to spawn it appears. the cold nights have the bass in pairing mode making the bigger fish a bit fickle but not impossible here at “the Best in Bass”.

This week the bigger fish have been eating shakey head with plastic combo worked slow in deep water.

You can still load the boat with numbers fishing up close with senko, poppers and traps!

A tough front moved through this past weekend and into the week slowing things down drastically.

Jim Patterson group is working hard for every bite but the bigger fish have been a bit stingy.

Underspin is still the deal for numbers with the bacca burrito and 6th sense hangover swimbaits taking the bigger fish.

Rancho Padre was the place to be in the mornings as most points and shorelines held big fish on top first thing.

At about 8 am daily, the big bass moved off to deeper water and it was all about the Burrito swimbait and Underspin bite. Find a good rocky point with a gradual slope in 10-15 ft of water and just go to town on big fish! Baccaburito in pink lemonade and dark shad found the biggest bites in bunches with Sixto having the hot hand this week with multiple fish over 10lbs!

In the afternoon is when the southern part of the lake got going with fish stacking up and hitting a reverse of the morning.

Points and islands with the swimbiat or underspin was the ticket until just before sunset when the topwater bite turned on again!
