And that’s a wrap as we break for #Christmas ? Fish are still deep in 20+ feet eating old reliable storm fishing wildeye swimshad, Bladerunner underspin, and yamamoto fishing senko. Do yourself a favor and ask Santa for a trip to lakebaccaraclodge this season! If you say it’s from Santa, the wife can’t say no ? ?

Some December bass ?

Downsizing and going deep have been key as 5” Texas rig senkos and 5” storm swimbaits have taken the best fish this month after big rains and drop in temp. Fish are coming in 25ft or better and the bites are subtle!

The unseasonable rains have now departed and the bite is starting to settle into consistency again.

The end of the Yamamoto group saw a few DD’s on the last day as the sun began to shine on Bacurato once again.

New groups have arrived and they are finding the better fish deep on swimbaits and senkos in 25+ feet of water. Downsizing this week has been key as 5″ baits have been the ticket.

We still have a bit of availability in december as well as Very limited availability in January!

Had some great guests this past week that soremouthed a bunch of great bass here at Lake Baccarac Lodge.  Yamamoto Baits team was in attendance to see just what “the Best in Bass” had to offer, and they made the most of some tough conditions. We had some unseasonably late rains during this group which has made the fishing tough to pattern. But the pros showed just why they are the best at what they do, stringing together some great bags and filming some great content. Best was Brett Hites 10+ the other day, and Tai Au bagged a beautiful 11+ his first morning on the second Yamamoto Baits Group, which is still fishing this week.

Swimbait, jig, big worms, topwater

Well gotta say it’s gonna be hard bass fishing north of the border after fishing at Lake Baccarac the bass there just grow BIG plain and simple ! I caught a bunch of nice fish and lost a bunch of giants that I’ll have nightmares about for who knows how long! The lodge is really nice and all the guys there were great everyone made you feel welcome and were willing to share anything you wanted to try to help in any way possible. For anyone that truly loves bass fishing like I do , you’ve gotta try this place at least once in your life. Now I’m back home I’m already thinking on when I can go back and get some revenge on all the giant fish that hit and got away. Caught my personal best Bass at 8 lbs 13 oz on a top water explosion that you’d have to see to believe. I can’t wait to get back down there ?
