The fishing continues to be excellent as Sixto, Roman, and Poncho are putting everyone they fish with on trophies. Manuel Salazar continues to be the best guide on the planet with multiple trophies daily.
The lake is falling and the temps are hotter than hell, but by fishing the big cuts and humps you will locate the fish of a lifetime. The Curtis group has sent in photos and it’s easy to see they’ve had a great trip. Others at the Lodge are reporting up to 90 fish a day by fishing up the river, and half of that number has come from the south end of the Lake.
We do have available dates open for May so call 806-359-6288 to make to reservations!

The Lodge now has great selection of tackle to buy and rods to rent on site.
The unbelievable numbers of two weeks ago slowed way down with very few fish being caught daily now, but plenty of trophies showing up by the hard-fishing fishermen. You are going to need to work hard for the bites under the current conditions. The lake is dropping fast with a need for water below the damn.
Mike and Lily Knight returned this past week and logged multiple trophies. Our good friends from Monterrey added to their success with 6 more monsters. Steve Nave’s group had great success with swimbaits and caught four over 10 pounds. Brad Allen fished with guide Jesus and caught a beautiful 13 pounder.
The river is not producing the great fishing it was earlier in the year. Duck Inland Is a hot spot and North Canyon seems to be holding bigger fish.
We are looking for two people to fly private in April out of Fort Worth. Call (806) 679-2266.

“Just wanted to send y’all a quick thanks for a fantastic fishing trip. I left all my tackle at the lodge for my many return trips.
We caught over 450 fish between the 2 of us. Countless 5, 6 and 7 pounders. 5 over 8lbs and 3 over 9lbs and 2 over 10lbs and my personal best a 13 pound 15 ounce giant. Sixto was awesome in every way. One of the best guides I’ve ever used. There was no room for improvement. A+!!!!!
Anyways, thanks again and I will be in touch to set up our next trip.
Thanks Rob Horn”

Hottest Colors:shad, watermelon, black, white

We haven’t seen very many grandes (over 9 pounds) the last 7 days, but all fishermen have had excellent numbers. The better big fish water has been in Russo Cove using medium running DX 8 crankbaits. Also, the water has turned a little stained up the river.
Discounted private flight on April 1 – call 806-679-4433 for information
