While there have been some bigs caught recently, the lake has been untypically stingy this fall. The weather will cool for a moment, and be unseasonably hot the next. We have had some decent stretches over the last two weeks, but nothing sustainable or consistent.
It seems like every time the weather cools for two days consecutively, the fishing will pick up, and then we will have a super hot day and another warm night and it will shut off again.
The best bite by far this season has been anything on a Texas rig in watermelon variations, followed by poppers in whites and natural colors.
We did get into a few 60-70 fish days on Hogfarmer Scrounger heads with watermelon flukes, with some early and late topwater hours to supplement. We are still getting a good amount of 7-8lb fish, with a few 9 and 10lbers each week, but we are not seeing those crazy numbers that we had last year at this time.

Senko, Topwater, Bullshad, Burrito
Hottest Colors:shad, white, blackblue, watermelon
Time Of Day:all day
The nights are finally consistently starting to cool down and the fish are starting to turn on a bit. We are hoping this holds and the bite really kickstarts with the next moon cycle.
Best bite has been topwater early with a bit of Bullshad mixed in. Then the afternoons have held better numbers fishing deeper water with Burrito Swimbaits and texas rigged senkos.
If this swimbait bite holds, we will be in for a great december bite!

Well the last 5 days have been an absolute grind. The numbers just aren’t there and we’ve had a full house of some of the best anglers around. We’re grinding pretty much every day, but we need to capitalize on each and every bite. A little bit of everything thrown has been working, but the most consistent bite has been texas rigged plastics and a some topwater in the mornings. There’s been not real pattern to speak of, as we’ve caught them many ways, in all levels of water, but nothing with any real volume.
Right now, we just need the switch to flip!

This has very much been a weird October. It’s stayed unseasonable hot and humid until just yesterday. This weeks group has been seeing success on a variety of baits, just not to the tune of a normal October stretch. The numbers have been ok in the morning, but the big fish have mostly come in the afternoons.
Mag flukes, senkos, lizards, worms rigged a bunch of different ways have all produced. Underspins, swimbaits, spinnerbait, and rattle trap have all accounted for big fish but not numbers. Big fish stands so far this week at 10.67 . It won’t be long now til the bite fires up with the falling night air temps.

Underspin, topwater, senko
Hottest Colors:Shad
Time Of Day:Morning
The morning bite has been much better than the afternoon, with 20-40 per boat coming in the morning, and snagging some picky eaters in the afternoon.
Best baits have been underspin with 5” shadlicious trailer, burrito Swimbaits, topwater, and Texas rigged senkos.
The nights are cooling a bit, and we anticipate the bite to break open towards the end of next week!
