Ken Brown, who at the lake currently and we will have a full report soon, when asked how he was doing responded, this is, without a doubt, the best fishery in the entire world. I can’t believe two years since I was here last. My guide Alonzo and I have been on fish from the moment I stepped in the boat. We had adequate numbers with numerous healthy fish pushing ten pounds. Top water was dead but Carolina rigged brush hogs with Carolina rigged magnum flukes were the top producers.
Gil Wright’s group arriving private plane had a phenomenal first day with Steve Gilcreast catching a 9.1 lber but slow second day and most likely continued slow results as the cold front has finally pushed down and stalled the previous excellent results.

A Happy New Year!
I’ve just come back to Japan from Lake Baccarac after having a great time again. I am so happy to send you A New Year Fishing Report.
Baccarac Big Fish Strike has returned!! We don’t have to worry about the lake condition now.
I caught a 12lb bass on a big jig (green pumpkin) , 11lb bass on a magnum fluke (watermelon) and several 9lb bass. Morning time was so good.
Other Japanese friends, Yamamoto and Nishikawa, each caught 8.5lb bass on flukes and jigs. Our supe guide Sixto did an excellent job!
