Fishing Reports

We have continued to locate plenty of big bass today with 3 more bass weighing in over 11 pounds caught by our Japanese customers. Taylor Camron also broke the 10 pound mark. On average, each boat has been catching 100 fish per day. Can’t beat those numbers!

Pictures are worth a thousand words! The last several days, we have received so many big fish photos that we couldn’t possibly write a report long enough. The John Velky group bagged a dozen bass over 10 pounds. Jeff Howell’s group has been putting monster fish in their boat on their first day. Boats are bringing in 60 to 100 fish per day. Eddie Long caught four over 9 pounds on topwater. Cool Sinaloa mornings and beautiful afternoons make it the perfect combination of fishing and weather.

Fishing is just getting better and better. Most recently, Joe Street, of Amarillo, and Larry Robertson landed 80 fish a day weighing up to 12 pounds. The John Velky group of 8 arrived via private aircraft and is doing well so far with fish up to 11 pounds with wacky watermelon senkos. Brad Thurman caught 9 fish over 8 pounds on topwater.

We’re confident that great things will happen on Monday when Jeff Howell arrives via private aircraft from Memphis.

Gil Wright says this is the best topwater trip he has ever taken and the best total numbers he has had on Lake Baccarac, with topwater fishing sometimes lasting until lunch. Justin Newell pounded out numbers and size using big jigs and spoons. The best guide of the week, without a doubt, was Tigre, with Sixto not far behind, of course.

The lake is fishing awesome and looks to continue to be on fire from October of 2015 to today.

Having the runway near the lodge has continued to bring all those private flights and beautiful airplanes, which we love seeing.
