Swimbaits and jigs
Hottest Colors:Black blue, watermelon, shad
Time Of Day:All day
Well it’s been a slower week by Baccarac standards with boats averaging around 20-30 fish per day. Slower numbers, but the big fish are still around with a healthy number of 9lb+ fish still being reported. Big fish are still being found in 20ft of water on jigs and swimbaits.
We have another full house here today headed up by the Bucca/Hamilton group. The guys are fixing to get into some grandes with the stable weather coming.
Things are looking up!

7” Senko and swimbait
Hottest Colors:Shad and black/blue
Time Of Day:Afternoon
Well the fish are in 20 feet and biting! Yesterday afternoon saw around 50 fish coming from the depths anchored by a 10-3 by Michael Ridener. Swimbaits and big Senkos did the trick. The weather has stabilized a bit and we look to be getting back to a great fall bite!

Jigs, traps, Alabama rig, topwater
Hottest Colors:Shad, black blue, chrome
Time Of Day:All day
Still hearing low numbers from Sixto, Narlin, Poncho and Mario but the big fish are around. Narlin is seeing fish into the high 9’s and has put together a great topwater popper and rattle trap bite. Sixto finding a couple of 10’s on the A-rig and jig, and Poncho is cleaning up with a beautiful 11+. Manuel is finding big numbers, having 100+ bass days, but the size is eluding them. But, it’s only a matter of time for the best guide in Mexico!

Whew! It’s been a long weekend and sorry for the delay. It was a great time talking fishing and seeing some new and familiar faces in Virginia at the Gathering put on by Swimbait Universe.
With that said, let’s get to the fishing report! Fronts moved in during the overnights and Baccarac vets Andy and Jeff were reporting slower than normal numbers for this time of year with the majority falling in the 6-9lb range for Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s morning storm saw many boats struggle during the morning session but finding them in the evening with Tim Layton picking up his new personal best and big fish for the weekend at 11.10! Jeff is reporting that that Manuel found fish stacked yesterday afternoon to the tune of 150+ bass on scroungers and burritos. Ash also reporting a new pb at 10-10 on a 1oz jig fishing with Sixto. Narlin and Mario are finding fish on big jigs, traps, and burritos.

Storm, burrito, WCZ
Hottest Colors:Chartreuse, shad, baby bass
Time Of Day:All day
It’s been all about the swimbaits lately. Slow rolling shad imitations over points and humps has been key.
Storm shads in chartreuse, different variations in Baccaburritos, WCZ Citizen 6 and 7 on weighted swimbait hooks, and a handful of others have all played.
Boats are averaging around 30 fish per day and the size is still up!
