senkos
Hottest Colors:white
Time Of Day:all week
This week was slower than the previous week due the drop in water temp. The rains still have the lake the high and cooler water is making the fish hold very tight to the new cover. The average boat caught 40 fish a day with still some fish in the 9 to 10 pound range. Green lizzards and white senkos worked well this week.

8 inch worms
Hottest Colors:watermelon, chartreuse tail
Time Of Day:all day
Today at Lake Baccarac Lodge, the fishing has gotten very good and been the most productive fishing we have had in five weeks. Jim Baker of El Paso caught an 11.7 in 16 feet of water with a watermelon worm with a chartreuse tail. Tetsuya Oyama of Japan found many fish over nine pounds fishing with a Gary Yamamoto pumpkin 8 inch grub. The numbers are improving daily – some boats catching 45 to 50 fish a day between 6 and 7 lbs. With the passing of the recent cold front, fishing is improving every session.
