Pictures are worth a thousand words! The last several days, we have received so many big fish photos that we couldn't possibly write a report long enough. The John Velky group bagged a dozen bass over 10 pounds. Jeff Howell's group has been putting monster fish in their boat on their first day. Boats are bringing in 60 to 100 fish per day. Eddie Long caught four over 9 pounds on topwater. Cool Sinaloa mornings and beautiful afternoons make it the perfect combination of fishing and weather.

February 26th we have a King Air trip on line. Call 806-679-4433 if you would like a seat.

Fishing is just getting better and better. Most recently, Joe Street, of Amarillo, and Larry Robertson landed 80 fish a day weighing up to 12 pounds. The John Velky group of 8 arrived via private aircraft and is doing well so far with fish up to 11 pounds with wacky watermelon senkos. Brad Thurman caught 9 fish over 8 pounds on topwater.

We're confident that great things will happen on Monday when Jeff Howell arrives via private aircraft from Memphis.

We sure do miss David Luke from Oklahoma City...where is he?

We have 2 seats February 7th that need to be filled. Don't miss out! Lake Baccarac is the hottest lake on the planet right now!

How can we start without listing a few of the recent top catches?

Justin Newell - 10.7
Ed Newell - 10.4
Craig Castro - 10.1
Barry Rich - 10.5
Gil Wright - 9.6 and 9.4
Denis Bootenhuff - 9.9
Randy England - 10.1 and 10.0
Frank Weeks - 10.3

Gil Wright says this is the best topwater trip he has ever taken and the best total numbers he has had on Lake Baccarac, with topwater fishing sometimes lasting until lunch. Justin Newell pounded out numbers and size using big jigs and spoons. The best guide of the week, without a doubt, was Tigre, with Sixto not far behind, of course.

The lake is fishing awesome and looks to continue to be on fire from October of 2015 to today.

Having the runway near the lodge has continued to bring all those private flights and beautiful airplanes, which we love seeing.

We do have open seats February 23 on a King Air 200 out of Fort Worth. Our on demand service si picking up customers almost everywhere in Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Call to book your own plane! (806) 679-4433

Big numbers are being reported by all boats across the board. Mr. Big Bass, Gil Wright, is currently on the water with lodge favorite Denis Bootenhuff, and they are sacking 7 and 8 pounders on topwater. Of course, Sixto is on the water trying to work his magic while fishing with Justin and Ed Newell. Justin has had a good jig bite at the time of this report. Also the man who is always welcomed, Bill Benson, is putting numbers in the boat. Frank Weeks is here this week, as well, along with Big Bass Hunter Barry Rich who has already put a 10.5 pounder in the boat. So, expect 60 to 100 fish per boat if this trend continues. One more thing, it's been great to see all the old friends returning.

We have open seats February 21 on private flights.  Call 806-679-4433 for details on this and many other available plane options!

Mark Willow landed 3 bass over 10 pounds using scroungers. Big jigs are working well, pulling in the 5 and 6 pound bass. Lodge favorite Bill Benson is on the water this week along with Bass Master himself Gil Wright. Stay tuned.

There are 3 seats available out of Phoenix on February 2. Give us a call at 806-679-4433.

Details:

Minor to major cold fronts have pushed the numbers down over this past weekend. Can't say that the cold snap helped at all. This weekend averaged 40 to 50 caught a day, versus the 70 to 90 a day we were seeing before the cold hit. Male bass have been running the banks and are easy to catch. We've seen big fish up to 8.1 pounds over the last three days.

Across the board, we have been seeing excellent numbers of fish, with the biggest bass in the past couple of days being a 9.15 pounder. Boats are catching 70 to 90 bass a day. The cold weather has not had a negative effect on the fishing, but once again killed all the crops in the area. Demand for lake water after the replant will be high going into February.

We have two seats open February 14th and three seats open February 21st, both out of Fort Worth. Call 806-679-4433 to book now!

Details:

Looks like our favorite from Japan, Mr. Yokoi, landed many nice bass using yellow magic topwater and rattletraps (made in Japan version). The cold air is staying strong in the area, but has not changed fishing much on the lake. The continuing high water level is helping the conditions, as well. We are seeing 50 fish a day and many solid 3 pound bass, with bass up to 10 pounds caught. It looks like the lake is in great shape for the spawn.

From Mr. Yokoi:
"I've come back to Japan from Lake Baccarac after having a happy time.
This time, I can send you a lucky report .
I caught 2 grandes 11lb on a Wacky Senko (watermelon) and 10lb on a Jigs (green pumpkin).
Every grande was caught in the morning time.
Top water fishing was very good, Rio Riko popper is my go to bait.
Thank you Mr.Terry Hollan, Super Guide Sixto, Manuel.
See you next time, Lake Baccarac."

We have one open seat out of Oklahoma City on January 14 and two open seats out of Fort Worth on January 21, flying directly to the lake. Call or text 806-679-4433 for details.
